One expert’s comments about the good investment opportunities in Brazil may tempt property moguls to transfer money to the country.
Mark Sharp, chief executive officer of the Association of International Property Professionals, described how there are “many good” opportunities for those keen to purchase a home in Rio de Janeiro.
He noted that the second largest city in Brazil is “set to see steady growth” as tourism continues to increase.
According to Mr Sharp, there is significant interest from holidaymakers in renting homes on the beach.
“However, like all investment in property, each decision to purchase needs careful research and consideration of location and legal guidance from a lawyer before jumping in,” he commented.
Individuals were advised that they need to look at the “key facts” before deciding to transfer money online and snapping up a home.
It was suggested that people should think about how they intend to make a profit from their investment, with long-term gain or an instant income important to consider.
Mr Sharp recommended those keen on letting out their property consider what kind of home will attract renters.
Investors were encouraged to ask themselves: “Are you in the right area to attract these people or are you too far out of town?”
